The unique Russian Federation lay-out, picturing the whole country from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka, is opening in St. Petersburg in 2011. In the project called "The Grandmaket" we have used the ideas and techniques of the tradition of making table lay-outs of the well-known places and historical events once so popular in the Soviet Union. However, the tradition somewhat deteriorated in the post-Soviet years so the project is the attempt to both restore the tradition and give our visitors overview of the whole country. The lay-out is made on a scale 1:87.

The most experienced lay-out making specialists (makers) are enthusiastically creating the detailed scenery of the Russian Federation reflecting geographical peculiarities and containing all the key objects. We are using the latest Russian technical developments in this field, so you will be amazed by the technical novelty of the project which by far outgoes similar projects in Europe.

"The Grandmaket" is also a unique chance for children's technical creativity revival. Our specialists are sharing their experience with the kids in the modeling club arranged on the production base which will provide for the growing our own technical specialist to exploit and support "The Grandmaket" in the future.

St. Petersburg, one of the most fascinating cities in Europe, attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world, many of whom don't know much about Russia. "The Grandmaket" visitors will be able to get the impression on the size of the Russian Federation, its geography, natural resources and economic potential of the country. Thus it will be enriching experience for both foreign and Russian tourists.

The Grandmaket is situated in the heart of St. Petersburg and occupies a 2 story-building built in accordance with the classical St. Petersburg architecture standards. We expect "The Grandmaket" to achieve the leading position among similar projects of the world.

The unique lay-out picturing the territory of the Russian Federation from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka is opening in 2011 in St. Petersburg. The lay-out is made on scale 1:87 and occupies 800 sq.meters. The exposition can hold over 60 000 people per month.

Production and educational Center "The Grandmaket" sets a few goals by establishing the exposition. Among them are developing of modeling in Russia, production of competitive modeling product for both internal and external markets, set up of theme clubs for children, drawing visitors attention to the latest developments in Russia pictured on the lay-out. Territory, industrial, geographical and climate peculiarities of deferens Russia regions can be seen on the lay out which will help visitors to get the better understanding of the country.

Relief of the lay-out consists of seas, lakes, rivers, hills, mountains, fields and forests. The lay-out pictures cities and villages, tunnels and bridges, ports and air ports, railway and underground stations, plants, factories, mines and oil derricks, stadiums and military bases and many other objects.
